Simple steps that subscribers can take to link their phone numbers with their National Identity Number (NIN)

Nigerian telecommunication service providers have announced simple steps that subscribers can take to link their phone numbers with their National Identity Number (NIN). It had been reported that the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) mandated telcos in the country to block all SIM cards that are not registered with NIN within 2 weeks. This means that failure of the subscribers to update their registration records with operators with NIN will lead to the blocking or disconnection of the line by December 31, 2020, though there has been a huge public outcry about the sudden announcement of the policy and short time frame to implement it. The Nigerian Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has also directed that subscribers can link their NIN to more than one sim card. This can be done by taking their NIN to the office of their service providers. A leaked chat of some fans of BBNaija Star, Erica, called the Elites, plotting evil against Laycon, Nengi, and Neo has caused an uproar on social media.

In the screenshots which surfaced online, the members of the group have planned on reporting all the pages and hashtags of the Big Brother Naija Stars in order to cause harm on Twitter.

- Some of them expressed how annoyed they feel to see Neo and his colleagues trending on Twitter, hence they would only start reporting them when they come across such in their trends list again.

The hatred in these Elites seems to be increasing since the fracas that ensued between Erica and her friends.

Recall that, Laycon has been blamed for Erica’s disqualification and her inability to get what she deserved in the Big Brother Naija House.

This has caused her relationship with Laycon to hit the bucket as they do not talk even now that, they are both living a happy life.

Erica’s beef with Nengi raised following Nengi’s appointment as a special Senior Assistant to the governor of Bayelsa state.

This caused Erica and her friend Mercy Eke to throw shades in their various posts getting Nengi to also react.

Erica, Mercy Eke, and Kiddwaya have all unfollowed Nengi due to hatred, leading her to do the same.

Now their fans have also taken it upon themselves to fight a good fight, which has precipitated their wrath to plot negative things against them.

One of the Elites said:

“THIS IS TIME TO REPAY THEM. THEY ARE ALL MAD. I WILL KEEP REPORTING ALL OF THEM. ORACLE VENOM PLASTIC AND CORN. REPORT ANYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH THEM HENCEFORTH”,
